I'm glad you posted something on this project. I did look at many of the i-D covers so I could make an intelligent comment. The image here is lacking in a light source that makes it fit with the concept of the magazine and all the covers I looked at. The location you chose doesn't help with the stark/bright lighting i-D uses on every other cover. If you go back and compare what they shoot and where, I think it will be clear that you can probably shoot this in a much more interesting light and composition.
